So a few weekes ago we got our first taste of ground swell in a long time. So of course I took my alaia out! Even got a couple cover ups. You can almost see it in the first pic, but either way it was truly an epic session and believe or not I even rode my shortboard for awhile and actually had fun again! Don't tell my alaia shaper though! It was an epic session for two reasons. First it was epic...due to the waves. And I got to surf with my old friend Brad and my sister who can be seen in the foreground trying to avoid splinters since I have no problem sliding over people who paddle in my way...apologies to the kid in Kitty Hawk who I floated over last weekend.
